The Food and Drug Association has released a letter, written by the director of the Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising, and Communications; Mr. Thomas Abrams. The YAZ FDA Warningcontains the violations of the Yasmin Birth Control Pill, otherwise known as Osella or YAZ.
Albeit the statement of the director that the pill is effective to a lot of women, he has also noted that Bayer, the producer of the Yasmin Birth Control Pill, has forgotten to list several injuries that may be fatal to its users. Examples of these severe complications are stroke, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, and worst of all, sudden death.
Furthermore, the FDA has also listed more adverse effects that are due to YAZ containing drospirenone, a progestin, which causes hyperkalemia and may lead to serious heart injuries. A group of lawyers, the Yasmin Lawyers, are now taking action in warning women about the severe effects that the pill may cause.
